Marianie Morazzani 

Marianie Morazzani was born on the 27th June 1965 in Nice, she is of Franco-Peruvian origin from a multicultural background. Born in France from a Peruvian father, a French mother born in Venezuela, with Irish and Corsican roots. Marianie Morazzani spent her childhood years in Nice, France. She acquired a Diploma at Eastboune Art and Design College UK, going on to San Jordi Art School in Barcelona, Spain. She shares her time with Miquel Barcelo, Ferran Garcia Sevilla, as well as the founders of “La Fura dels Baus”. She becomes part of the Catalan Artistic “Movida” and absorbs the paintings of Miquel Barcelo, Antoni Tapies, Xavier Mariscal, while admiring Michel Basquiat, Mark Rothko, Francis Bacon and specially Rembrant and David Hockney. She has her first exhibition in 1986 at the Galeria Caixa, in 1987 she takes part in the Biennal of Barcelona, she exhibits yet again at the Caixa and the same year exhibits in Blanes at the Cellar d’Art. In 1994 Marianie leaves Spain and goes to live in Venezuela on Margarita Island , there she works with the Interior Designer Gustavo Merida and executes some frescos for the Centre La Samana. In 1997 she exhibits in Caracas at the University of Fine Art then, in 1998 at the Venezuelan Consulate in New York. In 1999 she is back in the UK, where she is away from painting for a few years before exhibiting in 2007 at the London Hospital before moving to Paris in 2008.
